Long lasting performance with 3 hours duration. The action is based on the reproduction of the exercise manual: How to open a hole in a stone with a spoon. With one stone, 50 spoons, a hammer, the exercise is an attempt to reach something impossible, however the body keeps estriently convict that is necessary go until the end. Into this topic, I see the post-conceptual artist Madlen Stilinovic as a reference. His practice is related to the subject the productive body and work specially on Artist at work, 1978, and also in the text The pleasure of laziness, 1993. Considering his experience in the old Yugoslavia Federal Republic followed by the rise of capitalism, his work is between two opposed economic systems, and how the body answers to different aspects. Under the transition from a communist to a capitalist government, the artist mocks the artist process against the current competitive production that the market of art excites, compulsively. The work inside a neoliberal regime motivate a docile body. Keeping the population in induced shock stage, leaving them in monerable state, at the mercy of decisions of the government that represents them. The intention in rethinking the artistic production is to consider external conduction, referring to the political context within the internal process of creation and how sabotage is used as a form of mass control. The attempt, the expectation and failure go hand by hand, and it maintain one alienated body in the illusion of victory. I understand the sabotage as tenuous line among the individual and collective behavior.
